The new house divided (House of Reps., House of Worship, pick one)

A couple of things we knew from the experience of making Seeing Red were confirmed for me last night, Evangelicals vote THEIR values, not the Republican spun values liberals fear. And there truly is a chance for a new coalition to emerge around "traditional" religious values; caring for the poor, the sick, the disadvantaged, etc..., and against waging immoral war.

What isn't clear from the election to most folks but I believe deeply is that the Evangelicals who voted for Democrats last night (36% at least in Virginia, more elsewhere) are not a lock in the next election. Peggy Has it right in out trailer (watch the whole thing, it's just 3 min!) the Holy Spirit gives electoral advice, not hand picked politicians posing as pastors in the pulpit...

And frankly, the Holy Spirit led to a good old whoopin' for the "Former Party of God."
